What was the biggest takeaway from building the unit?
The biggest take away for me would probably be the amount of time that it takes to plan these units. It's a lot that you have to consider, but in the end, that plan prepares you or supports you while you execute it the first time and maybe in future years.
Describe a connection you’ve made across two or more of the areas in the unit.
I think that my big ideas and essential questions are what guided my planning for the assessment because I'm working for students to really grasp onto what I had planned for them to learn.
What would you think about for the next time you build a unit?
Next time I build a unit plan I'm hoping I have a bit more time to really think about how I want students to interact and learn whatever it is that I am teaching them.
What would you tell people for next semester working on this project? (or for me)
I would say to take the opportunity to practice and understand what planning a unit is and not to be afraid of all that it contains. It's a guide for the present and the future.
