Unit Goal

A goal that I have for my students is that I would like for them to have the ability to accurately and effectively tell time. This will include having students be able to read from an analog clock and calculate elapsed time. To ensure the content is rigorous enough for them, I plan on incorporating word problems and real life scenarios where they would need to calculate time. The reason I chose this topic, was because I noticed a majority of my students struggled tremendously with telling time. I was them to be prepared for real life scenarios as much as possible and I think this is a great lesson to teach to ensure that.
