Unit Goals
For my unit, I am focusing on the essential questions: What do pets need to survive? and Why do different pets have different structures? I am still tweaking them as I go. I thought that some goals could be: Students will observe either the class pet or their own pets and write 3-4 characteristics/structures of the pet. Students will identify needs of their pet/class pet. Students will describe the habitat/environment needed by the pet. Students will compare their pet to a classmate's differing pet and find similarities and differences.
I am not sure if these goals are specific enough. I am still not sure if this even the unit I want to do, so I need to make up my mind soon!
