Reflection on Goals

One of the goals that I have for my unit is that students will be able to identify a relevant issue that directly affects them to create a project that addresses its impact on them. I'm trying to see how I can make the unit question or the unit goal a bit more specific to where students choose to research on something a lot more personal rather than choosing a popular or more general topic like abortion. I was able to discuss this a bit more with my group today and I figured I should try to introduce students to personal history while making sure that students are also provided with examples of what I'm hoping they will come up with or create.
