Final Reflection
As you transition from being a preservice teacher to a classroom teacher, what are your biggest aspirations or goals?
As an educator I strive to establish a classroom that is inclusive, supportive, and conducive to learning where I get to create a space where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and engaging in the learning process in a positive environment.
I also aspire to contribute to the academic and personal growth of all of my students. This includes helping students develop critical thinking skills, fostering a love for learning, and preparing them for future success in academics.
Developing positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents is a key factor to being a teacher. I hope having trust and effective communication can contribute significantly to a successful teaching experience with all families, coworkers, and students.
As a classroom teacher I also aspire to be an advocate for education, both within the classroom and in a broader context. It is also important to be reflective practitioners, constantly evaluating their teaching methods and outcomes. Reflective practice can lead to continuous improvement and a deeper understanding of the teaching and learning process so I will also be learning as I go!
One of my main aspirations is instilling a passion for learning in students. I hope to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom for every single student I teach.
