I would love students to self-assess as much as possible, and this could include this lesson. I will create a popsicle stick for each student with their name on it. The students will choose from three buckets, doesn't understand, medium understands, and expertly understands. In addition, students complete exit tickets.

A task from the lesson (lesson plan) Sarah’s mom bought 4 boxes of crackers. Each box had 3 smaller packs of 10 inside. How many crackers were in the 4 boxes?

Who your students are (pull from context for learning) Cognitive demand/Language demand. This lesson pulls on analyze and apply quite a lot, as students are reinforcing a previously learned principle.
